Pesky but very cute Kangaroos

Living in the bush and attempting to grow a garden can sometimes be difficult because of the native fauna.

As cute as they may be, kangaroos will attempt to eat anything within reach that is green. Sigh.....

Mum and her baby have taken up residence on our property and I don't have the heart to keep on shooing her away. I'm a softy, I know! Particularly after having just established a bromeliad garden only to have one eaten overnight.

And not just any old run of the mill bromeliad, but an expensive one I had only purchased and planted the day before. A beautiful red and pink centre with purple flowers. I would show you a picture except one of them ate the pink and purple bit and left the green outside leaves (of course!)
